S.T.E.A.M.’d Up for Kids

S.T.E.A.M.’d Up for Kids is fun for the entire family! Children of all ages will delight in learning about Oregon’s rich agricultural heritage through S.T.E.A.M. activities. Rain or shine, wear walking shoes and prepare to explore our grounds.

 

  

 

Activities

Kids sandbox, kids crafts, make your own catapult, miniature railroad, rope making, blacksmith, drive a heritage tractor, Steam traction engines, scavenger hunt, wagon rides, and many museums to explore!

Cost

Admission is FREE for children 12 and under, and only $6 for ages 13 and older.
Parking is FREE! Trolley rides are $5/each.

Father’s Day Special

Make Dad feel like a kid again!!

The Trolley will be open for Father’s Day. 

In honor of Father’s Day, we want him to feel like a kid. All Fathers, Grandfathers, and fathers-to-be ride the trolley for the price of a Youth fare!!

Normal trolley fares: $5 Adults, $3 Youth aged 4-12; 3 and under are free.

Please note that separate admission to Powerland is required.

Great Oregon Steamup

Let The Great Oregon Steam-Up transport you back to when steam engines powered industry and cars first appeared on Oregon roads.

FUN FOR EVERYONE!

At the 62-acre Powerland Heritage Park, Steam-Up was awarded the 2022 & 2023 Best Annual Event by the Best of the Willamette Valley. Steam-Up offers something for everyone!

  • Miniature train and trolley rides.

  • Family fun activities include a youth passport hunt with prizes, panning for gold, a firefighting challenge course, fire bucket activities, pedal tractor pulling, and a LEGO display.

  • Fantastic Parade of Power featuring vintage tractors, trucks, steam traction engines, and automobiles.

  • Blacksmith and flour milling demonstrations.

  • A steam-powered sawmill in operation.

  • Demonstrations of old farming methods, including threshing.

  • Logging demonstrations.

  • Fire apparatus on display (fire engines, fire trucks, and fire equipment!)

  • Fourteen different museums to tour, including the new model railroad museum!

  • The Willamette Valley Model Railroad Museum

  • Swap meet and flea market.

  • Music.

  • Food vendors.

  • $17 adults

  • $12 students

  • Free for kids 12 and under!

  • Free for veterans in uniform or with military I.D.

    $5 parking fee, 100%, goes towards new restrooms on the property.

  • Trolley rides are $5/adults, $3/Youth, and a Family fare of $20.
